From November 1 to November 4, 2016, more than 50 experts and enterprise technical backbones from all over the nation gathered together and participated in 2016-6 Seminar on Efficiency-improving and Capacity-expanding Technology of Hydropower Station (hereinafter referred to as “Seminar”) sponsored by Hydropower Control Technologies Training Center of China Society for Hydropower Engineering and undertaken by UNIDO ICSHP Control Equipment Manufacturing (Changsha) Base and HNAC. At the Seminar, they carried out communications and discussions on efficiency-improving and capacity-expanding renovation technology and output power optimization of hydropower station and carried out field investigation of unmanned renovation demonstration base.

Rural hydropower is an important link for China’s small hydropower construction. During the “Thirteenth Five-year Plan”, following contents were proposed, including taking construction of green small hydropower as the main line to promote the scientific development; renovating river ecosystem by means of efficiency-improving and capacity-expanding renovation etc. Thus, in the course of renovation, the ecosystem of the drainage basin will be taken into account simultaneously when considering the efficiency improvement; in the meantime, how to promote the benefit of environmental protection further based on the existing basis also will be taken into account in terms of implementation means.

Seminar on Efficiency-improving and Capacity-expanding Technology of Hydropower Station

Zheng Chengyao, Distinguished Visiting Professor of Ministry of Water Resources were invited to attended the Seminar to communicate with representatives participating in the Seminar on how to achieve the efficiency improvement of water turbine by means of new technologies at the present stage etc. HNAC’s engineers exchanged opinions in depth with experts participating in the Seminar on recently-researched & developed new technologies aiming to improve the environmental protection property of hydropower station and the intelligent overall scheduling of drainage basin, such as floating oil collection, high-oil pressure propeller and output power optimization scheme for step hydropower stations etc. and discussed more optimal design schemes.
